1. Out of every 100 numbers, Sara will write down 81 and 19 will be eliminated. For example, from 1–100 the eliminated numbers will be 9, 19, 29, 39, 49, 59, 69, 79, 89, 90, 91, 92, 93, 94, 95, 96, 97, 98, and 99. The pattern holds for every 100 numbers: 109, 119, 129…etc. The number 300 will therefore be the 243rd listed. There are 57 to go. But when 357 is reached, 309, 319, 329, 339 and 349 have been eliminated so there are still five to go. Sara lists 358, (skips 359), 360, 361, 362- then the 300th number on the list- 363.
XX *5 _8_ =13
4 16 12. TOTALS
3. FOUR TUESDAYS AND FRIDAYS MEANS 5 OF 3 OTHER DAYS (31 DAYS IN OCTOBER)
CANNOT BE WED AND THU (MISSING ONE) SO SAT ,SUN, MONDAY answer
4. 96 symbols, 97 starts the pattern again. so 100=♢ Diamond, 101=♡ Heart
5. P=6, S = 0, R=9, Q=1

2/25;
1. C+I+4 = R + I can only be C= 9 and R=13 answer
2. the difference multiplied is (54-45) i.e. 9; 198/9=22 answer
check:22*54=1188; 22*45=990; 1188-990=198 checks.
3. i) C+B = 9; ii) H+B=12; iii) H+C=18 boxes per hour
C-H=-3 subtract ii from I
H+C=18 (from iii), then add
2C. =15, C=7.5 boxes per hour. Answer;
Mean of 7 forces total of all to be 49
if the other 6 are 1,2,3,4,5,6 is the minimum total of the others = 21, the largest can be 28 answer.
I = 1 implies
2n + e = 8 (subtract t from both sides of the 2nd equation)
if e = 2, then 2n = 6; n=3
t+2+3 = 10, implies t=5 answer.
