Notice
600 for first 100 trips = 6/trip
1600 for 300 trips = 5.33/trip
Wonder: How long is each trip?
2. Which is the better deal?
All things equal trip lengths, the 1st deal better.
3. How do you know? Price per trip
4. Make up some other ads that would.
a) Pay me a little more
400 trips for 2800 = 7 per trip
b) Pay a little less.
1000 for 200 trips = 5/trip
the same as these.
1200 for 200 trips same as the first,
$3200 for 600 trips = same as the 2nd.
End

Brian = 14, Father = 41
Reverse numbers pairs can be written as (10a+b) and (10b+a)
For 41 and 14 we have, (10a+b) - (10b+a) = 41–14 = 27
Therefore age difference between father and son is 27 years. This will never change.
So we have (10a+b) - (10b+a) = 27 and we have to find all values of a and b that will satisfy this equation.
Therefore (10a+b) - (10b+a) = 9a - 9b = 27
Therefore, a - b = 3
For all a’s and b’s who have their difference as 3 will answer the question. Such pairs are (4,1) (5,2) (6,3) (7,4) (8,5) …. and so on
Since father’s age today is 41, the next age to satisfy the condition is 52 making son’s age to be 52 - 27 =
25
which is the reverse of 52.
